I went out with my camera and snapped away at any Metro I could see to make a collage when it died and it's been hanging in my room since February 21 1998 when Rover killed it off.



And several years later while on holiday in Italy I bought the book "Metro" by Graham Robson. Of all the things to buy when visiting Milan this was my favourite thing.

 

this metro wasn't a blue city was it ?

a few weeks back i saw a 2 owner from new metro with 15k miles on it

 

A few years ago, I took a punt on a one (old lady) owner Maestro, with 9k. It too was just like it had come from the factory and I 'stole' it for £600.00 could I sell it.........nope. Managed to just get my money back after a couple of months. It was something everyone wanted to look at but in terms of value it was a five hundred quid car. lesson learned.

 

I'd buy it all day long at that price.
Just use it til you kill it.

 

Theres a beige/cream one still being driven round here by one of my elderly neighbours. Gets washed and waxed every sunday and is only driven one or two days a week.
