nope. Wouldn't try either unless I had a highly modded engine able to cope with it and gearbox ratios modded to suit. I hit 135kph a few weeks ago and it was screaming
i had 85 and nearly poo'd myself. i had a garmin on the dash at the time and it confirmed the speed. i think it was just about all i dared give it with no rev counter and standard jelly suspension i think a ton would be quite feasable but you would need nerves of steel !!
I got up to 95MPH in my old van 20 years ago - I was going to Reading Festival from Bradford, got as far as Watford Gap services when I realised I had forgotten the tickets so I left my mates to hitch from the services, turned round and headed back to get the tickets. At some point on the journey back down it occurred to me I had no control whatsoever over the steering and the van was shaking A LOT. It was then I noticed the speed I was doing - frankly it was quiet terrifying.
I hit 80 down a hill, was scary went all light. But it's built for speed, it hits about 70 and it tucks in it's door mirrors for less wind resistance. Cleaver bit of engineering that.
my old late bay with a 1641 could do 100mph, I've just put that engine in my early....I'm not trying it any-time soon in this van
