Clutch gone after trip abroad- now fixed and back on the the road

So after completing 685 miles over France ,Belgium &a the Netherlands got to the bottom of my road and no gears switch of engine straight in and can pull away fine but won't go in gear when engine running

Changed cable as had spare Bowden tube all good no oil at joint but some times goes in gears fine then nothing and press clutch see a small squeeling noise and clutch smell done 28,000 on cable and clutch plate ect so hope to get time Tomoz after work to drop engine see what the gremlin is as booked camping the weekend with my boy as it's his birthday !! Loads of time to sort it !!

Bet it is easy to diagnose once you drop the engine - there is a full clutch setup over on earlybay.com for a late bay if you are interested?

Think it might need a rest ....

 

What about checking the gear linkages first before dropping the engine.
If all okay proceed as you think best....
The coupling at the gearbox nose cone is normally a prime suspect.

Goes into gear soon as turn key off matey so goes into. Gears just not when running

Was flat were we went I think pin come off release bearing myself as some times it releases fine

U know what only reason that engine is still in is cuz I got bride coming to book a wedding later so soon as she goes it will be on floor mate !! But I'm on call tonight so if no calls I'll whip it out
