  1. Brierley Hill West Mids...

  2. Was wondering if we could lend you some tools but too far from Manchester.

  3. All done, engine off, clutch off, flywheel off ( under the van ) crank seal wasn't the culprit. It was the gearbox main shaft seal. All back together now and no special tools needed. :)

  4. Locked the flywheel with two bolts and a 3ft crowbar resting on a axle stand to clear the heat exchanger, span the gland nut out with a 3ft breaker bar. It was remarkably easy :s

If it wasn't the culprit why did you remove the flywheel? It'll probably leak now you've disturbed it :p

  6. There was some oil there behind the lip of the flywheel, I wanted to be sure I didn't have two leaks. The gearbox main seal was very tired. The difference in the shaft play between the two was marked.

Fingers crossed it's fixed, did you replace flywheel seal and o ring anyway?

  8. Would have been rude not to. Just back from a 15 mile round trip to my favourite riverside pub. She's dry as a bone underneath...... first time ever that.I recall! Fingers crossed.

Clutch cable needs adjustment though, the bite is way to high, guess the cable needs slackening off.
