Clock wires

  1. Hi all,just got my time clock back from the menders,which wires do I use to connect to the positive and negative from the dashboard can I use the wire live from the cigarette lighter,I tried that and it only works for a couple of mins ?? thanks in advance John

    You need a permanent live, is the lighter live when the ignition is off?

    You'll also want some ear plugs. They tick bloody loudly!

  4. Indeed, when I got my camper the clock had been wired so it only ran when the ignition was on. Not very useful.
     
  5. Could I spur off the radio live wire as that is permanent live .Radio will work with ignition on or off

  11. Is it a VDO quartz jobbie or a real Kienzle electric clock (that I assume John's was).

  17. I paid £50 .I got one from jk for £55 and it was pants so sent it back,I looked at it this way,that's £55 towards getting it fixed and looks a lot nicer
     
  18. Ok cool I'm going to get mine fixed then, "genuine kienzle" is that stock US?
