They sounds pretty sensible people plumbers are always inventing issues to create more work for themselves

Well in the next exciting instalment. Being the softey that I am I called in there today as I was passing. The owners weren’t home. But the nice cleaning lady was and she kindly told me that the owners had another firm in two weeks ago but they couldn’t sort out the issue and they’ve had no heating since. I walked out.
They could definitely go heat pump I reckon. If the whole system needs a re pipe and new rads anyway then I guess why not upgrade the sizing and do away with the oil heating altogether. It’s a thought worth looking into.
For medical types I try and relate their heating system to something medical ,like it needs cpr or it's to late or I'll get my jump leads or poor circulation due to lack of coffee
