I have my old CB from when I was a wagon driver in the garage doing nothing it's gonna go in the bus I think then I can hear all the wagon drivers winging about the slow VW as there overtaking me!!
Yes definitely I never got pulled well once in Hull when I was on containers and I got put on the weigh bridge I s**t myself they can take your licence of you at the blink of an eye I did grain and coke (black coke) not the white stuff from Teeside
I passed a open one at Ross taking a trailer of grain loaded by the boss to Cardiff docks. When I got there it was 42 ton. In the days of 38 ton mg. Phew!
You were lucky there that was a licence loser or a big fine! I took a load of asbestos to Hartlepool in a walking floor trailer in a 500 bhp v8 Scania only dropped half a gear all the way there and I bottomed out the weigh bridge at over 50 ton and they weren't going to let me tip as they couldn't weigh It in the end they did and we had a weigh bridge in our yard but lazy me thought it will be alright idiot!
Scania V8 best truck in my opinion!! So powerful!! It would be nice to put that engine in the bus but you would only have room for the front seats!!
Bought bout getting cb for lizzy, but don't know where to put the antenna I've got a double top moonraker, so there's no metal on the roof to attach it
A gutter mount is what you need http://www.cb-shack.co.uk/gutter-mo...7LtAodg3AAQ&osCsid=o7235ae7njod44cj1en5rkis61
Para beat me to it I was going to say the same I think that's where mine will go just above the passenger door near the front
you could get one on the roof if you really wanted but you would have to use a Artifical ground plane
I have one i use in the van and my polo i just use a mag mount so it is easier to swap between cars I have spoken to a few people hoping to use it when i go away with @poptop2 at christmas!
