Carbon Bootprint and V Dub

  1. Surely the equation would be the amount of carbon/CO2 produced throughout the lifetime of the vehicle divided by the number of years its been on the road to give you an annual figure. So you have production of the vehicle (for comparison this would be if it where produced today), of the service parts, in our case restoration parts then fuel and oil.

If your running your bus at pretty low mileages and its 30 to 40 years old then I dont think you need to feel guilty. There must be some sort of on line calculator for this!

  2. Agreed that man, did you see the link about the laughing gas , just cos it puts it all in perspective, along with your assessment. :))

  3. PS My other transport is a 1200cc sports bike, so V Dub looks good.

  4. the carbon DM print of the juice you use is a mere dusting compared with the thick sooty black DM print made by recycling your old drive and creating a new one full of plastic and airbags and stuff

I reckon that my 2L Auto has the same carbon footprint as a small African nation!
