Err yes davidoft, unlike the back of one and front of another that's had a crash welded in the centre and passed as a good vechicle this is the top half welded to the bottom half, equally as dangerous and as much a rip off, thanks for patronising me Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
I’d like to see lots more pictures of this bus so we really knew what were on about. The information given and the pictures supplied leaves some ambiguity.
I think it's more likely to be a late kombi with some early panels grafted on (or maybe visa versa ). From what I've seen there's plenty of buses just like this on UK roads changing hands for silly money so why not just make the best of this one? It's a Bay shaped object potentially capable of doing Bay type of stuff, so why not if no-ones getting ripped off or deceived? Out of interest @Abdul, where are you based, and without being too specific (unless you want to), did you pick this up for a bargain price?
M plate is clear as to year/type/colour look at the pics all the evidence is there its a late bay modified with a new old frontend, interior fixings =late bay, enginge bay and no removable valance = late bay, wheel arches = late bay, i asked if its got front discs and a servo but not seen any pics as yet, whilst it's not conclusive the weight of evidence points far more to a modified late bay frame that it does a 68 prototype bay???? Lol forgot saying e a r l y bay on this forum changes it to prototype Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
Don’t take him to heart I can see all that. My point is, I’d like to be able to confirm by eye the other areas of the van are as we suspect, all late!
Yeah sure this looks like a peach sorry or is it a lemon guess your happy to take it for a whizz but I wouldn't take it down the road Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
Abdul if your local and want a couple of people gawping at your wagon I'm up for it if it helps you? Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
If those photos were taken local to where @Abdul is now, I'd hazard a guess that he's still closer to Egypt than he is to the UK - look at the licence plate on the X-trail
I am located in Kuwait. So i don't think its possible for you guys to inspect the bus Unless you're willing to fly . Bus in the workshop now will try to take pictures of the brakes tomorrow. Not many vw t2 in Kuwait so if i part out ill end up with many unwanted parts. Ill be completely honest with anyone who is interested in buying the bus . I decided to sell because most of the cars that i restore are numbers matching , and body style match the vin and production year. Thanks again for clearing things out.
Abdul my friend it would be lovely to see your bus but I fear my ability to travel is somewhat lacking, keep the pictures and updates coming as it would be great to see what's underneath, get yourself on a youtube video to show the restoration. Good luck Sent from my SM-G975F using Tapatalk
