reported on the news the other week about a couple died cos they took their disposable bbq into their tent!

just either man up and take the cold, it is camping after all, or get a better sleeping bag!

  4. I took my one camping to the halloween camp and put it in my van with the co tester inside. i shut the van up and ran it for an hour sealed.

My co detector displays the co build up and sounds an alarm if its low level but nothing to panic about yet and then a big alarm when its time to evacuate!!!

Ater a whole hour the van was redders and i wasnt getting any reading on the detector! It does work cos I have it sat on the heat vents at the front of the van when driving and if i get in stanmding traffic i can get 18ppm at the vents.

The fire was on the floor and the detector was on the top of the cupboard (about 3') so i dont know if co is heavy and builds up from the floor first?

I must admit I wouldnt use it unsupervised or without the tester but I was suprised that I got no reading after an hour cos the van was too hot to sit in!

Now the pig is drafty cos the seels are shot so that mightve been something to take into account but I was suprised ny the results!
