    The forecast is better in Swinbrook than Manchester this weekend (it's nearer the equator) so we're still coming.

    Being outdoors a lot I use the met office site and one thing they get wrong continually is the speed the weather is passing by. I'd bet that forecast Saturday rain will have been and gone or fizzled into nothing before the weekend.
    Too far for me and I've given up camping really, haven't been for at least 3 years now.

    Part of me does but like iblaze it's a 340-350 mile round trip for me and I'm busy boat interior rebuilding before winter sets in.

    Well, it would be easy to say I'm not coming, especially as I've got to leave before the good weather on Sunday (packing up in the wet on Saturday?) but what the heck... it's my holiday, so barring a major monsoon, plans haven't changed. See you there.
    Sorry not to see you this time @Chrisd @iblaze and @surreyvan, but hope to catch up at techenders instead.

    We're not happy about missing out but tree inspector coming round this week as we think the tree may have to go and soon :(:(:( we think it's at least 300 years old.
    The tree surgeon who came to clear the road told me there is internal rot and the timber is dry, causing it to break the way as it did. We live in sandy soil so water drains away really fast and the trees are suffering, the irony with the wettest July in record has not passed me by.

    Same here, I'll be there by 4.30 ish. Glorious weather here in sunny Lincolnshire it almost seems a shame to leave it behind, but it's probably even nicer in Swinbrook :chewie:

    Yep, really sunny here, for the first time in a few days... but I'm focussing on a field with a stream and a cricket pitch / club bar next door.... reckon I'll be there mid / late afternoon
