  3. I never knew about that

  4. I would also join a local vw club where you get to meet vw enthusiasts and the local clubs organise meets, runs and club camping at summer events. And they have a wealth of vw knowledge and know the local vw garages if needed.

  5. I think my local VW club is full of late model Golfs that are "on air" and have tyres that are like rubber bands ;)

  6. You cannot beat CL sites quiet rural locations club sites are nice but most CLs only charge up to 15 pound a night all in, most club and commercial site sound like mr fiddler from carry on camping , pound for this pound for that, although it more like 5 pound for this 5 pound for that. I went to book a commercial site up, grass pitch not even main weeks with all the add ons it was 65 pound a night. I said when I enquired I only want to park up for the night, I don’t want to buy shares in the site. I dread to think what sites are charging now with staycations, I think we need a wet summer send the Spain brigade back to Spain and the sun so the camp sites will be quite once more.

I have found the Camping and Caravanning club sites I have visited have been reasonable with rules and behaviour requirements. But then I dont need to run a stereo really loud.

And their Certificated Sites are always reasonable - price wise and facilities.

I joined because it was a valid club for getting a 10% discount on the JK insurance I had at first.
