If i finish my bay to a good standard than it should sell at a price to enable me to buy a syncro

Id rather keep my bay and have a syncro aswell though

 

Just add a winch to the bay, the bay windows are underrated as far as offroading goes.

 

Why do you want one so much? Your 2 wheel drive Bays could have handled most of the terrain with ease. I've tried it to the extreme. And believe me, you'd be surprised just how incredibly capable our Bays really are (excluding lowered buses of course, who wouldn't have a chance). Well off the beaten track, I've driven past folk in 4x4s with their mouths wide open, shortly followed by 'how the hell did you get here in something like that'. On another occasion, a rescue party in 4x4s was just about to set out to come and rescue me. I arrived just as they fired up their engine. Again, mouths open following by 'how the hell........'. What was all the fuss about? What were they thinking? That I'd got stuck in the mud, smashed something, or worse? In a VDub bus?! They're havin' a laugh.

Theres loads of vids on you tube of bays offroading just try using different keywords when searching as a fair few come up after typing vw kombi off road

On the old site we had a thread full of vids of busses crossing rough terain
It might be an idea to start that thread again actually

 

Is it me or if that bus was painted blue and up on merc alloys it would be beryl woodys bus?? No wonder I keep getting grounded in fields behind him! :-[
