Dont panic!!! Pack what you think and Im sure there will be stalls and people around that have anything you might need!! We have an 8yr n 6yr so the kids can have fun and you can try a bit of our homebrew!! If all else fails we have a tlb kids club at woodys van so all us parents can have a lie in and nurse hangovers so you will have a great weekend!! Looking like a wet one so wellies waterproofs and loads and loads of spare clothes for the kids! Nothing like warm clothes at night and a fresh start to keep the little ens happy And the more wet wipes the better they clean everything!! But dont worry we pack for the world so if it all goes wrong just come round out van and Im sure we can help (we even have movies at night to slow the kids down if they get a bothered at the lack of a tv!! ;D ;D ;D) Wet or dry we will be having fun just relax and enjoy the weekend!! We look forward to meeting you
I'm back to talk some more about food ;D : One thing that has been recommended by lots of people who go camping is the tinned range of meals from M&S. We've tried the Chicken Korma and it was really nice! And no chilling required so you can just cart a few different tins around with you and pick whichever you fancy on the night (with boil in the bag rice or boiled potatoes) ;D
Have to agree with Magical Trevor the Woody nursery is excellant he has all his CRB checks in order so no worries there. you Might want give the home brew a wide berth ive heard its industrial strength. Plenty of wood for fires, we like fire. Beer Wet wipes and gel. Beer Chilli for Friday night is essential. Did i mention Beer. But most of all enjoy yourselves.
Bring along some flasks fill up with hot water as your cooking/heating up your evening meal and you've got hot/warm water for drinks later on in the night without having to drag everything out to make a drink. Hot choc for the kids & instant custard and cake can keep them warm before going to bed. Cold kids equal miserable nights. Extra shoes, wellies etc for everyone (ask Tev about his kids getting their trainers, wellies and shoes wet in the first hour of Spring Camp ) Like Ricky says if you've forgotten anything ask around, someone has what your looking for
Loads of great tips. Wipes, beer, gel, paper plates etc, bin bag, toilet, spare clothes, beer, m and s tinned food and flasks. All on the list. Thanks
I picked a load of these up at Sainsburys at the weekend, they look lush! Like Bev said just serve with tinned pots or rice ^-^ http://www.lookwhatwefound.co.uk/Page/productDetail.aspx?ProductID=64 I think the BBQ's staying at home this weekend
My CRB checks have run out ??? and im a confirmed alcoholic So leave the kids in the bus and bring plenty of vodka and you'll be fine ;D
yes i agree if you can manage to cook your own meals it makes it more affordable to go away more often bek
Avoid the following: Woody's board of death Gnome Music Letting Pete fill up your fire pit Getting drunk and going on the rodeo ride Birdy's early cocktails
