    Useful Steve, thanks.
If "good order" "ready to go" and "not any kind of project" means a nice looking, good paint, good interior, solid bus he'll be either disappointed or in for a long search for £8k.

I've been looking for a similar specced van with a bigger budget for a while, but have so far drawn a blank.
  11. Mine looks like a sh1tter, but is freshly (well 1 year ago) welded up so solid underneath, needs a paint job and an interior! for 8k id throw in a hand job
(i wasnt intending to sell but 8k.......!

  13. Thanks for all the comments about what I can't get for 8k I realise the budget isn't the biggest but I also realise there must be allot of people selling vans, I'm sure the right van is out there.
but if your not selling a van that might be of interest please keep your opinions to yourself.

2 posts in and getting yellow snowy; good work.
My question was genuine. What does your friend expect for his budget? A lot of projects go for £8k.

if people didn't post what you won't get for 8k this thread would be empty - you'll struggle to even buy an empty shell of a solid import at that money, prices are silly on these vans, beware if you find one though as it's probably filler and expanding foam painted over... good luck with the search ..........Edit i tagged you in a sale thread at 9k

  17. i didn't mean to sound like i was getting *****y, lol i have many a vw's and even a late bay myself, if I'm honest I'm not trying to get to far into finding a van for my friend just thought i would post a thread to get the ball rolling, you know what its like if i do to much I'm going to feel responsible for the purchase then feel bad if the starter fails etc! He has no idea of what he wants to see whats available, but he is also not really looking to do to much, show me what can be purchased for that budget and i will point him over to this thread.

If I'm honest its a long time since i have looked at bay windows and clearly the prices Have escalated, good news for all of us who have got one! not so good for those wanting to buy something decent.

  18. For £8K you could hit lucky and get a fairly decent one, or a rot box with nice curtains. Good luck with your search but I think if your friend is going to have sucess he's are going to have to do a substantial amount leg work.

£8K buses are what was a £4K bus a very few years ago.
  19. You can buy mine for £8k. Or am I under pricing it?
  20. Have selling prices escalated over the last 4 years? I've not seen asking prices drop by much, but as far as I can tell some buses hang around without selling for a while.
