B and B components - bags of 50 about £8 R n R spares - bags of 50 again about £8 both these suppliers do clips and bungs one is cheaper than the other for clips & one is cheaper than the other for bungs - can't remember which. I think both offer free p&p- look 'em up on ebay.
These + 1 pack of each will see you right for a pair of doors. As for the polythene I first stuck flaps down from the inner of the door to inside the door. Then I put a strip of putty/seal/tape (sticky black stuff) around the perimeter then stuck the sheet up then trimmed it to size. It helps with me being able to "borrow" materials from work I'll pop the bits off to you ASAP
Paradox! Apologies I could have given you some clips at Techenders Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I used blobs of Dum Dum, but unfortunately (like creosote) it's been banned as A Bad Thing, so you can't buy it any more.
Didn't see this post before So when I spotted it just I went out and had a proper measure I think someone may have drilled out one door previously
I have just been searching for the smaller bungs and contacted Retrodubs on Ebay. I was told that if I am using 6mm clips for a baywindow then these do not use bungs and clip straight into the holes. If this right or should I keep looking (only come across 7mm bungs at present)?
Just repairing the cab door cards (1975 Kombi) ...... Both doors have plenty of perished bungs, have just ordered 6mm bungs and clips from JK, bung part number J12808.
don't use those door clips, they are awful, and they bend and snap all too easily. Use the originals if you have them, they are a different shape and fit better. I've seen original clips at shows for £2.50 each fortunately, they are the same ones used on old MG's .....without so much scene tax http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PACK-of-1...308444?hash=item488106235c:g:8gIAAOSwv0tVKC9I
