  3. I'd also heard great things about these so when the lhd fi version came out i got one. It's a much nicer drive with this fitted and the kit is excellent quality, happy i did mine. Is it "£50 better" than it was before, well i guess that's up to you - where are you based, no problem to try mine out if you're local-ish to oxford.

On Gusbus, our linkage was well worn and loose.

We looked at Buttys Bits and for £50, we made our own from some steel we had. The rose joints came from RS Components!

I have heard good reviews on Buttys bits though :D

  6. I fitted mine about 3 weeks ago.
I was shocked at how poor the og vw set up was. The second shock which was hardly surprising was just how worn and sloppy my OG set up was.
The third shock was just how much of a difference the kit Mage to the feel of the drive.
The pedal is lower so more comfortable and it's more like the feel of a modern car at the pedal.
    My only regret?
Not getting one sooner and leaving it in the bag for two weeks before fitting it

  8. Ah, it making the pedal lower could be a winner!

I get quite bad shinsplints from long distance driving in the bus.
Foot is always at an awkward angle.

  9. That's sold it for me ;)

  10. I'd say that was the biggest benefit to me too.
The other surprise was the throttle response it's like a motorcycle quick throttle now.
Imagine now instead of 4" of travel to go from closed to fully open it now does it in two! Difference now thought is its such a smooth action it just feels "right"

  11. "smooth" is a good word to describe it - you don't realise how sticky/jerky the og setup is until you get this setup.

I bought it because eBay gave me a voucher if I bought something using the eBay app
It's going to be a fair while before I get to test it out

  16. wasnt @Keith.H showing you how to make something similar and where to get ?

  17. I've just taken delivery today of the VW Heritage version.
As I'm doing a scooby conversion I thought it was £40 well spent.
