Going away tomorrow to New Forest and Simply VW at Beaulieu on Sunday. Thought I'd fire up the bus this evening and go check levels and tyres. Tried to start but. Wouldn't start. Turning over ok, but no go. Checked engine bay and realised I'd left a plug disconnected. The one that plugs into this. Which I now understand is ignition related. Plugged it back in, but still won't fire. Battery voltage is at 12.3v now, which is probably too low. Got battery on charge, so will have to see how it goes. Any other thoughts?
I hope you get this sorted! Where are you staying in the new forest? Loved the simply Porsche show. Wish I was going to the simply vw!
Staying (fingers crossed) at Long Meadow in Brockenhurst. I'm hoping with a fully charged battery it'll fire. I think 3-4 attempts with the ignition plug unplugged, plus a month of non-use, plus a newly fitted tracker have drained the battery below what it needs.
That's the ignition amplifier module I believe, double check all your other plugs and connection and get the battery on charge
fi van needs a good voltage to start, try starting on the charger, also check the plugs into the twin relay i used to have to wiggle mine to get it to go.
My list is usually; Check spark Chek fuel Mumble Kick tyres Cup of tea Scratch head Post for help on TLB Pray to non-specific atheist god
Battery on charge and then will try again first thing. Failing that, I'm gonna treat myself to a last minute B&B booking!
My chiropractor bought a T4 and it broke down on his first trip to cornwall to go surfing. he had to be recovered home with some complicated problem. Sometimes it is just sods law.....which is where the mumbling usually comes in.....with associated gesticulaing at the sky and gratuitous swear-box charity giving.
My mechanic is me. All that has been done since last time it ran is: 1) Changed fuel breather hoses 2) Fitted Skytag tracker Been about 4 weeks since last fired up.
