Insurance is coming up for renewal, quoted £ 187 with JK insurance , what does everyone else pod out ? iam 58 with clean licence amazingly .
Was with Adrian Flux two years ago but since with Cherished which was cheaper and better cover. Agreed free valuation and free DNA kit, pay £123 two drivers lhd 2.0litre, 2000 miles. Have'nt heard anybad reports on them but dont know anybody that has had a claim with them!
I'm with Cherished and pay about what you've been quoted for the 2 vans. Maximum mileage with them is 5k I think.
1st year i used peter james as i used to use them on classic landies, next 4 i used cherished, they were always up for a barter on the price.
Cherished for me although I did hear something bad about them this week for the first time. I wouldn't touch Adrian Flux with a 6' marmitey stick. They might be cheap but do a google search on how well they settle claims or deal with changes in circumstances. Not worth the risk for a couple of quid imho.
RH Specialist are also worth a call. They were cheap for me for a good few years until their prices started creeping up. I claimed with them too and they were great.
I have heard the name murmured in bad light. I kinda went with them as I was in a rush for insurance and they were the right price. Come renewal (November) I might look a bit harder.
Got nothing against JK insurance , just crept up by 37 quid thou , will try and wack them down abit with a price match from another insurance company ....they will either give a turd or not . OH what were the name of those wheels again ? had a hangover forgot by the time i got on the A5 cheers .
Obviously I've only had the camper since the spring, and so this is my first year of 'specialist insurance' experience, but I went with RH Insurance. They were £129 for the year, UK & European breakdown, return of salvage as well as payout, and annual 3000 miles. It sounded good when I was initially looking, but I'll look again and get requoted by everyone next spring.
