Bus eats front tyres

  3. That seems a bit backwards to me dude.... I don't see how a positive camber would make the van track better :thinking:

    maybe it's just me and my racing knowledge... as most track cars aim for a -3° of camber for better cornering

  5. Yeah, we do go straight on motorways... but most modern cars that I've dealt with run a slight negative camber, plus when you turn the steering the camber increases in the negative...


    I have to say that it is very intriguing!! :thinking: I would like to know the reason as to why it's a positive camber :thumbsup:

  7. wow only just picked up on this thread and recent discussions

    Front wheel drive track cars handle better with some negative camber as the wheels run on quater of the tyre
    on the straight but run on more than half of the tyre in the corners

    For a road car or a road bus any large differance in camber,castor or wheel alighnment results in and awkward steer

Just caught up again guys, was suprised myself when i saw +30 on the camber but after a little more research on line it is the correct setting for a bus, evidently it helps keep the bus straight and stable at speed. Think i'm gonna get drop spindles anyway so its all gonna need resetting again. Cheers for the input guys.
