So it was Mrs TBR's birthday last night so we had a "small libation" which lasted until 2am. We got up at 6am and left for the frozen North. Then after 4 hours this happened. With this issue resolved we continued onwards Northwards whereupon we came across this. But we pressed on and eventually found this. Safely loaded up we took it to be reunited with it's owner.
Fair bit of that white stuff over on the west side of the country Most of it gone from here now... just the tips of the tops that have a bit of white on them still round here!!
Lessons learnt so far:- 1. Just because a seller says the tyres are "all good" doesn't mean they're the right ones, just that they have air in them. 2. Sat Navs are Marmitee in Cumbria, at one point we were travelling along a cobblestone road. 3. Just because it's dry and sunny down Sarf, it may be slightly different oop North. 4. Hyundais are souless but brilliant. 31 mpg towing a Bus on trailer is phenomenal. 5. It's a fecking long way from North of Carlisle to Bristol at 60mph.
BTW. Subject to the great Italian Bus Hunt next week being successful, the trailer will be available to TLB members at a (very) small cost (to cover wear and tear). If convenient I will offer my help/vehicle as well. All at your own risk mind!
