I'm wondering why, if it was left in a state that was so easy to start and run, why you hadn't run the cam in yourself before entrusting it to the sprayer. Sorry for being wise after the event but that was an accident waiting to happen! Hopefully you got away with it. You could remove a barrel and have a look at the cam and followers?
