Ok. So I’ve beaten the bumper straight again. It’s in the ‘transport’ paint that they are supplied in. My plan is to go over it with a green hairy disc in the grinder to pull any surface rust out. Tidy up with some 400 grit, Then hit it with the celly. Sound about right?
It’s white paint, apparently also a transit paint. But they’ve not been painted for a decade I’ll give it a go with the hairy disc and see if it comes off easy
Right a few shots from today. Started with 120 grit dry, then wet. Then 400 wet. Used celly cans as advised....
I don't like the offset plate but the bumpers are looking dandy. Is that a mirror? My son stepped into one once and went right through the bottom.
They do get like that. I used to handicap race against one helmed by a pixi-like excellent sailor. The handicap was such that I could lap him but he'd still win. He didn't even like the thing, he got it purely because the handicap ensured, where we sailed, that he'd win every time. Flippin annoying bloke! We'd be in the club house having a pint while he was still out there beating us.
