Evening all. Over the next 3 to 4 weeks I'm intending to drain all the brake system and have all four corners stripped and replaced and perhaps a repair / replace of the cylinders. Does anyone know the best place for quality and price to buy the parts? I don't mind spending a few quid more for the right part as long as its good quality. Some of the parts listed are so cheap they could be rubbish. Cheers.
You've got a GSF in Northampton... parts won't be any different to that of some of the usual suppliers Are you replacing flexi lines too??
As you're doing the flexi pipes too, I would recommend putting on the goodridge lines with stainless ends... lifetime warranty, and you only have to replace them once, and not every 3 to 5 years!! http://www.coolairvw.co.uk/Item/Shop_by_Vehicle~Baywindow_Products~Baywindow_Brake_Products~Flexible_Brake_Hoses/SVW1000/T2_71-79_Goodridge_Brake_Hose_Kit.html
2nd vote for goodridge hoses. Make a difference to the pedal feel. Especially if like me you dont have a servo.
I'd like to endorse Chrisradioman's comment above - German, ATE brand. Should you decide you need a new master cylinder I have one available: http://thelatebay.com/index.php?topic=19069.0
