BMW drivers and the day I turned snitch

So there I was working at a s******y address in Kensington when this fella rolls up in a bmw pops it in to a parking space jumped out and promptly swapped his number plates over for another set he had in the boot. Strange I thought wots goin on ere then. Anyway after swapping the plates he walked off. Right thought I lets go and have a look. The new plates corresponded with the tax disc and the parking permit but my curiosity had got the better of me by now so I rang the Met. Two hours later two community officers turned up, scratched heads and were still there when i left. Next morning exactly the same thing happened so on the phone to the met again and within twenty minutes a patrol car showed up. These boys were keen to get something done so they rang the insurance company got a name, googled it and got a picture of the bloke I had seen doing the deed.Off they went to have a chat with him, brought him back to the scene, got the plates out of the boot and took him off to chelsea nick to charge him.
Turns out he was a professor from Imperial college london and they reckon he was dodging the congestion charge. I mean this bloke was wearing a £700 pound suit for christ sake.The bobby was looking forward to going through the cctv to see where he had been so he can throw the book at him.

Just like to add I'm no saint on the road, ie phone use, illegal parking and even no mot etc just glad Beatnick don't live/work near me.

 

Dude, well done! I'd have done exactly the same..... everyone of us honest people pays more because of people like this.

 

I wouldn't have grassed him, those robbing bar stewards charge too much with all their tolls & congestion charges, parking charges, speeding fines etc. You can't blame him although it wouldn't be good if he had an accident. I know he's being a naughty boy but I still wouldn't have grassed on him though.

 

Glad you said he was a ginger - My brother's a proff there and drives a Beamer. Wouldn't put it past him though. Probably all at it.

 

Been intelligent you would have thought he would fit James Bond plates and not get caught in the act...
