Nah , bought the odd one or two but in hindsight they probably too book-ish looking ... I was strictly a `VICTOR` kid, anything else was rubbish
Who remembers "Lock the doors draw the curtains because it time for appointment with fear " Then a great old horror movie came on , Frankenstein, Hounds of the Baskerville's , with the likes of Borris Karloff ,Christopher Lee and Peter Cushion .
Does Schindler’s List count? Or are we strictly speaking old-skool productions? Not seen enough of them but have many on my Watch List i’m sure. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
...and for those watching in black and white - the brown ball is the one next to the blue.... My whole world was in b&w until I was about 25!!
A friend of mine, when we were kids, thought the whole world was once black & white, literally, because that’s how it was depicted He didn’t realise that it was sepia before that like everyone knows now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We can control the horizontal, we can control the vertical, change your picture to a soft blue or to crystal clarity We can take you from the inner mind to the Outer Limits. Norman Wisdom films B&W brilliant
Yeah - Hotspur was the one I had on order from our corner shop - a great read - front cover was in colour though - just inside was b&w. The Amazing Wilson was one storyline I think - and one war story was called "Squadron Q of the cabbage Patch" - funny what springs to mind 60 years later
Not for me thanks - Commando always seemed a bit hard core and Hotspur just reminded me of football !! Victor every time , Alf Tupper 'the tough of the track' was a particular fave as I enjoyed running at school Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk
There's a Czech film made in the 60's called Limonadovy Joe (Lemonade Joe) which is a spoof western about the magical healing properties of Coca Cola (called Cola Loka in the film) which is even able to raise the dead It starts off in black and white and throughout the film it changes it colour pallete but stays monochromatic. Quite funny, and interesting, I've never seen another film like it.
