  1. Me and a mate want to go on a little camping / biking holiday for a few days only thing is I'm not sure were to go we are after trails and cross country stuff not all down hill as we are not geared up for down hilling and my other problem ( i say problem it's just what I'd like to do more than this) would be to take the camper but as its not on the road I'll be taking my caravan :( .
So if anyone knows any good areas that i can look into I would be most pleased.
All it's going to be is me and a mate having a BBQ and going out in the day on the bikes to have some fun
    Cheers

As you don't say where you're based - Outer Hebrides is handy. :)
Or the Isle of Wight has... roads. :)

    Hope that's some help.

there is plenty of biking places round Derbyshire - the High Peak Trail from Cromford to Ashbourne or Tissington.

Carsington Water has a bike track going all the way round

Cromford Canal stretches a fair old wayplenty more in Notts too

  10. cornwall. coastal routes are well worth it and very beautiful. combine good pub guide with good camping guide too :)

  11. Cheers guys I've now found there are a lot of places just got to find the camp sites to would be handy if they have wifi etc but as long as there is a hook up and water supply that will do .
Would be better in the camper as its easier to pack up and go to find a good trail , with the caravan it would take me most of a day to pack it all up

you could always ride disused railway lines there are loads of them i'm sure you'd be able to find summat on the net about it, added bonus of nice and flat too, remember the tv programme 'railway walks' with julia bradbury? try searching that or maybe not..,,, anyway enjoy.

  16. Edale, Hope, Buxton, Castleton area of Derbyshire is gorgeous. Loads of good campsites and great cycling provided you. Don't mind hills. We were in Edale last weekend and it was glorious.

  17. You're not far from Cannock Chase and the 'Follow the dog' mountain bike trail, it is great fun and not too challenging (my daughter first did it when she was eight) it is an 8 mile loop with a bit of everything. Next door is the Tackeroo campsite, which is as basic as it gets - no hook-up.....or toilets for that matter!!!

  18. this grabbed my attention until I realised it was not about a BIKINI holiday
