Bike rack tow ball

Are you sure it's not the whole thing twisting as well? It's made of two pieces of angle iron barely tacked together. Chuck it Ken, it's crap.

The one woody linked to is the standard "non-wetsfalia" T2 tow bar - proper heavy duty.

 

that's why I posted it about twenty posts back, perfect for bikeracks

 

But for Christ's sake keep the bumper mounts this time - unbolt that kiddies imitation towbar at each end where it's attached to the bumper brackets.

I didn't miss it, I was drawing attention to it. I also have had my towball rack on the same towbar, solid as a rock.

 

its is well solid and is only flexi at one point so i will give it a go

Ken, why not take it with you when you next visit your van and get your guy to weld two end caps on it. It would look better than two bolts stuck through and would have the same effect.

 

i do appreciate your opinions that it is Marmite but it works so i will give it a go if its hardly flexi now anything will be better and i do not think it looks that bad from the rear of the van thank you all for your comments

 

he will do that but i sat the bolts there to show vanorak if thats what he meant as i had the bolts sitting here cheers bob

The bracket is the problem ,take it off and re-enforce everything..

 

I thought towbars were now part of the mot?
