I love rugby but never played it and don’t really understand the rules.
I played football and understand the rules.
Up until this year thought football officiating fell far below rugby. This World Cup has made me think.
As for cheating… watch this space ( if you can stay focussed for another 2+ years ) MCFC , EFC. CFC NUFC.

The Cain one, zero debate the rules have been in place for years.

They apparently are saying Kolisi’s have mitigation as the AB player was coming high to low.

I don’t agree at all with that, looked no mitigation to me.

    History now.

  3. It was a good game, missed opportunities always make a match, Well done to the SA team as they played a good game. Boys in black have a few lessons to learn.

Young team though….and Razor coaching next…..I’d be full of hope for the future.

Fair play to France for hosting one hell of a World Cup.

If ITV could avoid being the TV channel next id be delighted as they made a proper pigs ear of that.

Icing on the cake, showing effin football fixtures, Walsall, in the Rugby World Cup final broadcast.

    They don’t deserve rugby.

Apparently around 1200 made in total across the semi finals!!!

If you want to see a funny medal ceremony, arch the 2003 one where the old boy from the IRB starts throwing medals to the loosing Australia team as they were running behind, it’s class.

    Didn't they just.
They played entertaining proper rugby and if it wasn't for a hundred camera angles and over scrutinising every twitch they'd have won.

Kolisi for president, of all countries.

Imagine having him as your team captain….he is the man.

    ITV coverage was appalling .
“ a friend” apparently watched it on IPTV Sky channel one….wasn’t he lucky .

I watched it on S4C….streets ahead of ITV.

ITV spent half of sweet FA on this, we all deserve way better, leave alone anyone from other countries having to watch that.

The only thing I’m glad of is no Sir Clive, thank god.

  15. I watched it in the pub and didn't really care who won after half time ...

Great game though , spoiled only by VAR , that wasn't a red card when SA got a yellow for a similar clash ...
Why can't the referee decision be final ? (Try!).
Oh yeah , trial by social media and has been players at half time ...

Stinks and needs sorting out .

Yeah. Most of my rugby pals including me admit to being tactical numptys, we knew our position and how to play it and some of them to international standard. We often laugh at the pundits both rugby and football and wonder why they never took coaching badge's if they know so much. Personally I can tell the overall style of play a side is trying to achieve but if I had to coach a team I’d be at a loss. That said I nearly had to take charge of the colts three years ago, I wasn’t comfortable about it but fortunately a better candidate was summoned. Phew!

I can still spout my opinion though as misguided as it is

Oddly I did coach some cricket for a while and I didn’t play that game much!
