Going camping at Easter with my family and friends Using a drive away awning and want to uses something safe. looking at electric blow heater thats quiet. Cannot use halogen type, we have a young child with us. anyone please?
I've used a small rotating electric fan heater in my little awning. It's got a safety cut off incase it tips over and worked v well for me. It was only a small cheapo one so you may need a slightly bigger one for a bigger awning.
Just watch the wattage on the heater, most sites only supply 10-16amps and a 2kw heater will soon trip the board and make you unpopular with others.
Shame halogen are by far the best at getting them hot ask @Lardy And if they fall over they go off , but totally understand child bit .
you dont need a light thou and if you park someone /ting infront of them ......... @Lardy had a moosive awning with 5 buses worth of peeps init n it was really warm eves does her indoors send you to the loft now then rick
Yes getting better I've opened a bottle Sancerre, apperently it's a good wine and it does taste very nice.
2kw is fine, or should be. Just be careful if you have other mains items in use. On a 16amp supply you actually have 3.6 kw ish to play with but as rick says. Dont chance it. A lot are 10 amp which is only 2.3 kw.
Consider the noise a fan heater makes as well, not overly loud but quite annoying as they click on/off at night ..it will wake you up I'm certain .
