Hi i am looking on buying a new awning as i am not happy with the one i have as it does not close into the van properly .i need one recommended that fits the van good if you have any good pics please show me. this is what i have now van and awning at vw.jpg

  2. That looks the same as ours, what problem are you having with it....how are you attaching it to the bus?

  3. This is ours. It's an Outdoor Revolution Movelite awning. This one is 2.4m x 2.4m but there is an XL version which is 3m x 3m. As you can see. the awning skirt fits close to the van top and bottom.

i use two awnings - a outwell country road and a kyham 200,each time i set up it fits different than the last time...... the problem with most awnings is they are for a taller vehicle.

  5. Well, it can fit tight to the van. As you can see there's a bit of a gap at the bottom, but it was just because at that time, I couldn't be arsed to make it fit closer to the van. :)

outwell at top wasn't fitted well that day - very baggy i pegged out and didn't tighten it to the van well, the kyham was good on that day.....preperation is key if i take my time it goes well - if i'm rushing it's cack.

  9. My movelight looks different to that. The two criticsms I have of mine is the bendy poles that whip around in high winds and the beading for the fig 8 could do with being longer.

i've given up on the figure of 8 i've gone over to pole and clamp i got fed up of the fig 8 popping off/dripping on the joins when it rains.

yes attached to gutter but not down the sides not happy with connection

  12. Same here. I'm now using the long pole and clamping it in the gutter with those plastic market stall type spring clamps.

  16. Aren't your side pieces elasticated?

The floor/ground sheet by the door has velcro bits on the underside which attaches up to the doors to stop the water dripping in. Only found this out on our last outing.

not a good one at all but looks the same has the velcro bits to but at v/world it was storming and windy so got ruined im not happy want a better one

  19. I've never had any problems with the poles - once everything is in place it seems to stay put. That picture was taken at Summercamp last year, and it was a bit breezy in that picture - hence the sides billowing out a bit. We've had this one for about 3-4 years, so maybe we've got an older model?

  20. If it's the same as mine its a Daytona Easy Camp.
