  1. Me too I'm watching the practice. Nasty one for Audi. Let's hope The driver is ok.

It's one race I wold love to go to. Your so lucky going next year.

I was there one year race weekend for a wedding and couldn't get to the race. Could hear the cars but not see them.

It'll be my 10th trip next year, you've got to get yourself there there's nothing quite like it.
Get there on the Wednesday and stay till Monday, the atmosphere builds from whichever Chanel port you travel from and just gets better all the way, lovely drive through France and fantastic event.
Get out to Mulsane and Arnage at night for maximum experience, it's nothing like watching 12 Grand Prix back to back there's so much more to it.
You can get all round the pits before and after as well,
Took my son 10 tears ago when he was 10, had a wander round the pits late on the Sunday eve after the race and bumped into Tom Christiensen who was more than happy to have his pic taken with Alex, just a shame I'm not a great photographer :(

  3. Love racing but never been to Le Mans...looks spectacular!

    what happened to audis?

  4. Never been myself but I remember my dad going every year when I was ickle. He used to bring loads of magazines and stickers back for me, it was the highlight of my year.
He was there when the 3 benson and hedges cars came in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Can't remember the make (maybe lotus?) but I do remember dad bought it on VHS and made us watch it over and over and over. 88 if remember correct?

    Silk Cut Jaguars 1988
    1st, 3rd & 4th,
The winning Jag was on the same lap as the 2nd place Porsche after 24hrs racing which by LeMans standard is incredibly close,
    I'll get me anorak :)

  6. That raced last year at the silver stone classic. Won by miles if I remember right.

  7. Ha! I watched it that many times I still can't get it right. :D
I have another story about my dad and Le Mans but I won't get into that. :(

  8. We did the Wec 6 hr off silverstone this year.

So laid back with the pits. Even though I don't think we should have been in there.
