Its because the fish has a bored expression.
"Oh no, caught by somebody again. That makes three times this week. I wonder if there are any quieter ponds nearby where I dont get caught quite so often"
Almost shooting fish in a barrel in a pond that small..

Oh well that's me told, best go and find a bigger pond, when I find one I'll post up the size to make sure it's ok:thumbsup:

Does reading count as a hobbie? Or going to watch footy? Those are mine I guess. I used to play lots of sport but now I'm too unfit and achey so just watch it instead :)

Probably it is actually perfectly happy being caught as its day job, as the food is good and there are no predators to bother it.

I know there is a lot of peace and tranquility to be had sitting and fishing somewhere calm and taking pleasure in the catches you get.

I was thinking of the one of the other extremes - standing on the beach at Dungeness casting half pound lead weighted tackle out 50-100 yards into the Channel to catch big cod at night. My father did that partly for pleasure partly for the free fish we could eat.

To be fare this pond is very deep over 15 feet in places, and although it's only about 2 acres has probably as much water in it as our club lake that is 8 acres but very shallow maybe only 2-3 foot deep at its deepest, and the fish in the small pond are very lightly fished for and although I've done well the last 2 visits, it is not the norm,

  15. Cycling on dartmoor , body ( belly ) boarding . However my biggest hobby at the moment seem's to be paying the vet bill for our 11 year old westie !!

Shouldn't you be taking your Westie to a garage rather than to a vet to get it fixed?

Cycling - either road (preferably without a hangover - today's ride hurt) or Mountain Biking.
