He was amazed. He said it is in better condition than his own. The rear table upholstery and the curtains are non original. The bunk upholstery is original. There is a grill missing from above the Electrolux fridge. And it is painted with a blue stripe as opposed to the light green original stripe. He loved it and seemed amazed at the condition. He said he thought it would have been scrapped by now and can't wait for his wife to see it.
If I had the room I would go £4k on that. It's far better than it looks and really well made and worth 4 times that when done!
Shame it's not a diesel , what will it do to the gallon? all that weight too, it will need a bucket not a carburettor. Still will be smart motor when sorted .
£2,550.00, someone got a bargain. It must be possible to do an engine conversion to a more mpg friendly one? @PopTop2
Yes plenty of options. I have read of petrol to diesel conversions and a few modern engine transplants on the brick yard forum.
