Here you go just need @JennyB to get a bucket and sponge and some soap http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VOLKSWAGE...049?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1e99ac6d19
I've already been told once today that @JennyB doesn't expect to be spending her retirement scrubbing at mould
That's very similar to @poptop2 to the non educated eye. When they say Barn Find - I take it the barn had no roof but had many trees in it....
It is. I am beginning to think there was another company making a similar shape van because the guy who made mine sais he went to look at a company that sold them ' auto.... somebody' and when they showed him and his wife around the factory he decided that being a joiner he could make them himself. Hence, he began his company. my guess is, that was the company he copied, and that in the link is one of their conversions.
If that is an Auto Trail Apache like the advert says this may actually be the company: http://www.auto-trail.co.uk/about-us It says that they've been around for 30 years.
Yes. Just saw the Autotrail logo, that was the company he visited. He said he was going to buy one from them to take his family and boat to the south of France, but after seeing how simple they were for a joined to make he decided to make them himself. Top bloke and I had a good chat to him on the telephone last night. Cheers for posting David.
It is the same company he mentioned yesterday Bern. Don't know if it was while chattering to us or on the phone last night.
I don't remember him mentioning it yesterday. That's great that you two have been in touch. You'll have to do a mould check on the one that he has tucked away when you meet up
@poptop2 ,my work colleague is interested in your woodlander Could you post a link to pictures please?
Halfway down page 27 is the beginning David. http://thelatebay.com/index.php?threads/rhubarbs-and-custard-resto.294/page-27
From looking at Dave's link and piecing things together. I reckon the guy we saw yesterday must have bought kits off authorail. It's too similar even down to the upholstery.
Yes he definitely put it together in his factory. He made 3. Two LT 50's and a LT 35. The 35 was the one that got burnt out in the Bingley hall fire and was his first one. The 2nd one a 50 I have and the third one also a 50, he still owns. I reckon he bought them in in kit form from authorial. He will tell me when we go visit him.
