Bearing ID

  1. Hi all,

Can anyone shed any light on bearing identification for me?

I have a crank bearing half with these numbers on:

    73955810
    U1.0 / U0.25

Does this mean I need to order new bearings to fit a crank that has been ground 1.0 and case 0.25?

Also, camshaft bearing has these markings

    VW number 113 101 507
    2017
    03-99

Assuming I am replacing like for like could anyone tell me what I'd need to order?

    Thanks guys

    Nick

  2. measure the ID and OD of the bearing... you also need to check the thrust bearing, just incase it has a re-face

Cam bearings are normally std, as they see a lot less load compared to the crank!!
