Just checked the wind direction and looks like it would flatten the conservatory and the kitchen extension. Neighbours won't be amused if it does and I don't have the cash to rebuild it all, so I think I'll get on go-compare or summat and see what's what.

Time for a new insurance related thread...

  4. I think thats a good idea.:)

I would have thought their insurance should cover them

I would have thought their insurance company would ok a top end repair quote, then hound me personally for the cash.

  7. If the tree was there before they built the conservatory you could argue that they built it in a risk area.

Make sure any cover you get starts immediately. There is sometimes a delay in cover to avoid you taking it out after something has happened.

We had some rain this morning, unfortunately we're in Melbourne & it's still as dry as toast back home. :(

1/3 of the tree has grown while I've been here. I should have chopped it down in the last few years, but it's too dangerous for me to do myself and I don't have the funds to pay a professional. I gambled that I'd have sold the house and passed on the responsibilty by now. :(
    That's why I'm on it today. ;)

The forecast has changed a bit for the better, I think the weather peeps are losing their nerve.
