Got home from work last night to find the westy blocking the middle of the close where we live.

Went to work and he was tucked up in the car port, came home and he was moved. All doors where locked, no signs of forced enty at all with the handbrake on and in gear

Dunno if it was dragged backwards out of the carport ready to be whisked away & they got disturbed or not...

  2. Blinking heck Mark, did they push or drag it?

We think they dragged it out - none of the neghbours saw anything but one did say it had been there since mid afternoon. There was no skidmarks either but the road was damp from raining

Needless to say, I have took him to work today!

  5. That was a close one...!! I'd have made my own skid marks if i saw my camper had been moved...!!! :-[

All is well with him, we gave him a good inspection this morning to check for brake line's cut, cable damage etc..nothing out of the ordinary..

I would have said the handbrake was no good (it failed the mot for this) but we sorted that out and it holds on a hill now (our drive is flat onto the street) and it was on the road in gear..puzzling!

One of the neighbours thought it was odd that it was where it was, he said its usually tucked away!

I have a plan & am getting wheelclamps tonight!

  10. evil cfa's - get clamped and make sure the neighbourhood are aware .... we dont want to lose him!

Wheelclamp on order, collect tonight & I will see the neighbours too & ask them to call the police if anyone goes near the bus.

The only people to go to our house as we know yesterday was Yodel the couriers, I very much doubt they would have done anything

We have been encouraged through work to think 'outside' the box.

Inspired by Columbo and Discovery Channel Mega Movers I have looked into your case and can only find one reasonable answer.

Have you checked that some blighter hasn't moved the street, leaving the van behind? A way to check this is try your Tom Tom (or other available brand) and see if 'home' address matches the street - if it's a few meters out I think we have found our culprit.

    Stranger things have happened.

(serious - wheel clamps are a good idea)

  14. That was a close shave - from your drive as well!!!

Glad he's still there with no obvious damage.

  15. can you put a post in the drive aswell?

  18. The Scooby engine I'm having fitted includes the Scooby immobilizer. I'm also having a Tracker fitted. http://www.smartrack.eu/products/trident.cfm It's the one the Police respond to (unlike cheaper alternatives) and includes an alert to your mobile if it moves, and you can also check out its whereabouts on the internet at any time. There's no such thing as overkill when it comes to security.

You've been very lucky Mork. It would've been damn awful if they'd succeeded.

  19. cheeky bar stewards!

  20. Bad news.At least they didn't get it.Think about getting a tracker fittedhttp://www.tracker.co.uk/
