Bloody hell Mark thats bit iffy to say the least, I think i'd be clamping it and getting a post and getting bloody great big chain round the rear axle to a big bolt in drive, it may seem a bit like overkill but its all worth it if it puts the scum off trying! I reckon a call to the old bill and get them to come round and look for dabs on the outside of it, you never know it may flash up somthing on the system?

Close one, any signs of where they might of hitched to ? to drag it?? got to have something with some poke to drag one, brakes on and in gear!! surely someone musta heard someting?? They must have had a low loader or they were going nowhere!! Glad alls ok.

i agree with the above report it to the police it might make them more vigilant in your local area? and get that wheel clamp fitted asap! i also recommend a large disklock and maybe one of those security ground anchors screwed into the drive with a chain round axle tube or front beam? its a shame when you have to go to these extremes but thats the world we live in im afraid

I'd be worried about them comming back for another go, hopefully they wont be stupid enough to try it again though.

have you thought about getting CCTV as a back up? you can pick home kits up quite reasonably - I know its not going to stop them, but combined with other security on the bus it might act as a deterant.

Im surprissed none of the neighbours saw anything, they must have used another vehicle to drag it surely?

 

On a less serious note, have you checked to see if was anally probed? it may have been an alien abduction where the beam down thingy was slightly off?

Glad to see that this isn't in the "stolen" thread. Mine (when it comes home) will be on the drive - i don't have garage - and I live on a main road so a lot of people will see her. I've got a wheel clamp and will be putting it on the wheels nearest the house, That way if anyone tries to tow her, the rear wheel will be screaming. Have also considered getting a parking barrier bar.

Anyway, you still have "Major" and that is what counts.

In gear and handbrake on, still easy to move. Pallet truck under the rear end.

 

Lots of vans can be opened and started with many different keys if the locks are worn. Someone playing a joke on you? If they moved it that far they'd have nicked it surely?
