Auto to manual...

  1. Ive thought a lot about this as my auto was MASSIVELY under powered for my liking, I was debating selling him as he was extremely slow up hill, on the motorway on long inclines he would slow to 35 sometimes 30 which is proper scary when lorries hurtle past you going over twice as fast, felt really vulnerable! So I go it rolling roaded at Autotronix Developments in Sheffield and he found that I had no fuel pressure in the passenger carb, so i was basically running on one, so he rejetted it etc and now it pulls fine, havent had it on the motorway to compare but its a lot better, and no doubt a lot better on fuel as there was so much fuel being wasted on that carb before, it will interesting to see how much better it is, mines a 78 so will that be a fuel injected one do you know ricky? thanks and sorry for the thread jacking but maybe my questions will help you sway to keep it or not.... who knows lol!

    B :D

rickyrooo1 Hanging round like a bad smell

it won't be fuel injected if you have carbs.... it may have been converted from fi though? you will have the later box though, does the kick down work? they need adjustment and clean fluid to work well, crap on fuel whatever as it's only a 3 speed box

  3. 1973daisey. If you want to have a drive in my auto, we could arrange it. Maybe yours is slipping a bit or has some other gremlins and that's why it's a pig to drive. It might even persuade your wife too. Just let me know. I'm based in the north west, but get around camping so you're not that far away :)
