I turn ignition on. No light, gen light is on. I crank, oil light flickers but stays off. It starts, both lights off. Sometimes, oil light flicks on And off on idle, but not on revs.

  2. Turn the ignition on, pull the lead off the switch and short it to the crankcase. Does it come on without flickering?

    Just regained my thoughts.
Did what you said, and Yes, it most definantly does.

  5. Duff switch? Who did you get it from?

    JK.

  7. I just always check the wiring for the idiot lights and make sure they are rock solid before using them to interpret engine issues. The earth wires jiggle loose, so do the bulb holders in the dash cluster. Old wiring chafes through the casing somehow and grounds against the chassis or another chafed wire next to it giving unpredictable readings.

Yeah. I think mine all seems ok. I’ve had the van a while now, and replaced a lot of seesbke stuff. Could just be a rubbish new sensor.

Yeah, I will. I just emailed them about it not working, but it’s the weekend. Also, the one I took out, has a tapered thread. That’s for a type 4, ain’t it? C4672D2D-AA73-4F85-A461-17EBA41A70EF.jpeg

  11. The type 1 switches (if they’re different) have a tapered thread (or should have).

Ok, so mine is correct? (Tapered).

  13. Looks it. Should be a 10mm thread with a slight taper.
