Ashamed to say I have sort of lost Interest.

I am sure the banter will return, it's always been a friendly site.
I can understand about not posting so much, though; As I have always been a conservative poster (not voter; small "c") not wanting to appear an eejit,,etc.
Might have to now though, go away for five minutes and birdy has pinched my avatar lol.
I don't think this site could ever be accused of being cliquey, It has never been since it was started a couple of years ago, which is one of it's strengths IMO.
Even if I don't post that often, I still like popping in to see how poptop2, rickrooo1, Diddymen and everyone else are progressing, so don't lose heart.
Trouble is, I now have to get my post count back up to what it was before; will have to think of stuff to waffle on about

 

I can't be assed to redo my threads on me vans as they sort of evolved and to sit down and do them all in one go would take ages, some of those resto threads were VAST and were great reading, I hope that they can be restored as I don't think they can be replaced as without the running commentary they would just be a load of pictures

 

we the people/members make this place what it is, if the owners/mods/etc can take the time to fix it least we can do is stay and get involved.

Shame threads have been lost but hey, good excuse to start new stuff from where you left off.

tonight was the 1st night in ages i had a good laugh again, dunno what changed - other than i dicked about a bit, gotta slide now though the alarm goes off in 6 hours so night all.

 

I've not been on alot , due to the crash plus I'm working 7 days a week at the moment and have only worked on the bus a few times so not a lot done

 

I agree with most of the comments here I like many lost 2 years worth of posts and pictures and it is hard to get motivated.but to be honest there is no other forums for dubs that isas friendly as this one in my view. So with time it will get going again. Ricky sorry u got stuff goin on at home me too at the moment feel like Iam a mental case at the mo with home life.my only thing that keeps me sane is dreamin bout finishing my van( one day lol) plus the couple of shows at elemental I've been too have been fab Iam already planning for the nxt one.

 

I know it's probably been explained somewhere on here but I can't understand why some folks (like me) lost all their posts and Karma, and others didn't.

Was it Karma?

It reminds me of the first time my PC blew up and I lost hundreds and hundreds of MP3s. At first I was devastated....but eventually it felt quite good, like a colonic irrigation of the soul. I could start again...and nobody died.

the re-build is all in your head, the lot was lost when the server crashed, some people have kept all their old ramblings and pictures or been able to back them up fron "cached" files off google (no i don't understand either) i myself have done a very abridged thread on my van as opposed to the 30 odd page that i had before, luckily i videoed a lot of my stuff and it is still on my you tube channel, just starting again although annoying gives you a chance to clean out some of the crap you posted (hence i was on 3000+ posts in 3 months before lol.

 

I thinks HorTs had a great idea to wipe the site once a year.
Now we know it'll happen each year maybe we'll be more conservative with our inane ranblings.

 

Its a shame the site was lost but I would be fuming if it was mine (the backup solution must be pants!) hence a lot of people me included to a degree cant be fussed repeating everything they have typed in guides or lists of suppliers etc etc (which is a pain for me too as I lost half the links!) So I just recheck my old posts :-[ which I cant do now of course!

But the mods have done a sterling job to get this back and we have to remember they do this for free in their own time!
