Art is for the rich to launder their money , an expert will know if your rich and value accordingly , fake signatures are rife and if you really like the picture who cares . Convincing an expert it’s bona even if it is , is relavent to his cut
@Poptop2 If your looking at buying antiques you need to study the market. What’s hot present is Asia art. The golden rule is whatever you buy your happy to keep because you like it. My friend whom sadly past away over a year ago once bought wood sculpture for £150 in 1976 a lot of money then and sold it at Christie’s for £36000. A love joy / only fools and horses moment in life
