so having an early and being a member on the LATE bay must be therefore pointless too? in that case bye bye @zed and others...... i'd like to hope that if i ever HAD to sell my van like @marowak did, or even @hailfrank himself (remember him? the guy who "owns" the forum?) that i'd still be welcome, this forum doesn't say it's for owners of t2's i thought it was for the appreciation of? the only part i do agree with is moderators need to be on here to see how threads develop, not just pop on when they get a report of a word that miss priss doesn't like little johnny seeing.

 

I'm sure Congi meant pointless from Dan's point of view, not the rest of us!

I agree with @rickyrooo1

This forum was set up for people who like VWs - late bays in particular but all are (or at least were) welcome.

I may have a bay again in the future. I may choose to join in more then.

But at the moment the friendly, everyone getting along jibe has gone from here.

As a partial outsider it looks like a bunch of men trying to get one up on each other and using the forum to take digs at anything and everything.

This is not true of everyone. But I know a lot of people who, after me recommending TLB to them did not join as they said it was like a testosterone fest.

So yeah - rather than saying - it's pointless you being here - in the future say - sorry you are not here at the moment and hope to see you back again.

 

Ps - I still believe rick and malc would actually make good moderators. It needs people who are on here all the time.

Only issue is, they would then be looked down on by everyone else.

Being a moderator is not a them vs us thing. It's just a bunch of people trying to a forum in a good place and not letting it go to the dogs.

 

Basically what I meant especially if he thinks the people are rubbish as well.
Didn't word it right , seems funny you don't hear from people for ages then they have a pop at the forum, it's a great place if you don't have a van as well as there's so much information and advice so you don't make the same mistake I did.

 

I'm not sure (in general) that mods are looked down upon but maybe dislike at times in the eye of the member being moded.
I admit when way back I had my telling of that under my breath a mod on here may of been called names but this ony part is just me venting in my way.

Its a shame we need mods but we is only human.

As for the name change how about
'I really want a T5'
