  1. I agree 100%

  2. Nice one bern , as with any spectator sport if you dont follow a team or a player you loose interest , same with forums i think , but something people who DO use a forum for what ever reason dont want to hear is someone that doesnt telling everyone what they think its like or the people on it are like .Bit like a football player or team you never watch n have no interest in anyway n you telling an ardent fan they are useless , sorry but that is what dan did to a point n ........., i like dan too, even though i never got to meet him in person ,hes a character like so many on here , and he,s benefitted from the forums support n stuff like so many of us do at times when need it.
The biggest problem is as far as i see it is , if we outsiders dont see the people behind the scenes or what they are really having to do, more so on computers , like most stuff they dont get the right recognition or impression of them. I too think if you have something to say about any particular mod then pm them and sort out your differences . As with teachers their are good n bad but its not fair to say they are all parp because of one bad one or your particular dislike for one or what he has said about or to you ,it isnt a wonder people dont want to be a teacher or a mod or a prime minister these days . This place is amazing if you ask me , people are welcomed by most and the first thing we want to see is their bus , the common interest i spose , but we talk about alsorts , have a laugh and help one another , which is good in my view.
I also think if you do think you can do a better job and or you have ambitions of being the boss , then apply for the job and prove it .NO ??

Personally I don't think that could be further from the truth 99.999% of the time.

I would agree with that. Some people have moved on but some good people have taken their place.

Some mods &/or Admins in any forum are more visible & active than others, we (& I include myself here) can be because of either our jobs or because we have the ability to be on line at the crucial times of the day. At the moment it would be obvious that I'm on line early morning or very late at night your time ( reverse it for my time ;)), this doesn't mean I'm not watching at other times.
If someone does have a problem with a mod/admin then sort it out via PM not on an open forum, ditto if they have a problem with another member. There is nothing worse than being new to a forum & seeing people slagging off other members, you post once or twice & then disappear before you get the chance to know anyone. I've joined forums/chat groups/lists over the years & have posted once or twice & then never again, flame wars are one of the quickest ways to kill one of these groups.
Just my two bobs worth :hattip:

I wouldn't make a good mod Dan. I have a very liberal view of what is acceptable and see the humour behind most posts. I would be so far off the mark re keeping it family friendly I would probably be sacked for bad management. No mate I like to post up stuff that hopefully keeps the forum ticking along, makes people think or just laugh at my sillyness.

You're wrong about the friendliness on here though. It is pretty good atm and has been for some time. If you had the time to spend on here you would have picked that up bud.

Just a footnote. I never started this thread to cause friction, I just though Hf. honky or the Wilma's may come on and give me a bit of stick for a laugh. The moderation is fine on here ( apart from most of the regular mods always going on holiday ( jammy gets) Joking btw. I just miss the superbly funny input from those mentioned and wondered if they had used up their store of funnyness. ;)
