Are there any bikers on here?

Hey Stevesplatto , me and my mates still discuse how in our individual r.t.a."s(bikes) time seemed to be like treacle and i/we could "see" everything in like slow motion, deffo a bikers "thing" there was an article in "NEW SCIENTIST "re same subject, was interesting, made scientific sense (i suppose) didn"t change much for me thou , not on the day , leastwise! (me getting all reflective and seeing the wheel slowly! impacting the car door, then.................

 

Mine was as a passenger on my mates Z900. He got left at the alter so spent the honeymoon money on what was the hooligan bike of the day.
Classic car (poo brown Morris Marina) turning right at a traffic light without looking. My mate couldnt really handle the bike, should have caned it or leaned round the back. Instead he just dug the bike into the wing and I cleared the top of the trafffic lights. I remember the sale signs in the supermarket across the road, read them as I sailed through the air.. The weird bit is when I hit the ground everything sped up faster than normal...
my mate broke his fingers on the brake lever and started rowing with the car driver. I gave a yelp and he had to look around to see where I'd got to!
Every bike accident I've been in has been avoidable with a bit more experience. I hardly fall of at all these days! (not for about 5 years now not counting get my laces caught in the side stand (embarrassing)

you cleared the traffic lights?goodnesssakes!!!! you were launched and then some!love that statement of yours "were preventable>>>>>" hey me 2 !!! i can relive all my rta"s in me head and still i find myself "there" again only this time i"m trying to "adjust" the situation to get a more agreeable outcome ! nuts i know, but ... it"s a bike thing, also you know it >>>the very very near misses?!!!! i swear i closed my eyes on motorway(on zed 100mph +)cos i thought "i aint gonna make it, i"m gonna end up a mascot on that truck"s grill " hellofabuzz! i was young>i"m still alive !
