I’m no expert on Russian money and it’s clear infiltration within the Uk.
What I find hard to grasp is that all of these oligarchs have for many years lived the good life, buying the premium properties in London ,Paris, Rome etc. Able to fly between these homes in their private jets . Mooring their yachts in the med.
What now ? What restrictions will they face ?
If the restrictions are real and actual , and immediately curtail their way of life then……..they’ll be well miffed. Let’s hope the pointy umbrella tip is organised by one of them. I think they will be livid .

I agree the biggest threat is China and Taiwan and North Korea dropping a few nukes around

My guess is that they wouldn’t commit to a full scale ground assault until they have gained air superiority. Once they have destroyed the Ukrainian airfields, radar and air defence systems, then the next phase will be to use paratroopers to secure key targets such as airfields and bridges, holding them until the land forces can join up with them as they progress in from the borders.

one huge miscalculation I see on Putins part is that he is a Cold War era guy, but Ukraine has been free of them for thirty years, whole generations haven’t known Russian occupation. I just don’t see them rolling over and accepting it. I think once the main military action is over, Russia is in for years of asymmetrical warfare, just like Afghanistan, and we all know how that went for them.

 

China…. I think this is coming imminently.

Btw, not sure how effective a system aikido is but there was supposed to be some footage of its founder Morihei Ushiba being attacked simultaneously by two giant fellas and dispatching them with ease. I don’t know how choreographed that was mind. I think any fighting system is only as good as the confidence of the practitioner to put it into practice in a real situation.
