Worth doing? Any particular hassle involved?
We did it on a type 1 , you can buy all the tapered plugs but you also need the taps and a few need drilling bigger to suit .
I try not to if I can help it... But that said I had to do one recently as the OG plug had worked its way loose
Tis true. Very fashionable, but something that could go horribly wrong, I'd think. Also pricey with the cost of taps.
The OG core plugs seem good at staying put and there are ways of cleaning the oil galleries without pulling the plugs out.
