Me and the daughters always tie a couple of smokey bacon rashers on the crablines works for us every time.. Expect you'd gets load more with the dropnets . don't know why people bother with tiny chunks, wouldn't be using the rest after being in the sunshine for the day anyway!... Fish head's are sometimes free at the fishmongers too...
we've used one of those little mesh bags on the end of the line with some success ... I think we used a well known supermarkets premium ham ... that which the crabs didn't eat was used for our sandwiches
