Whitby's had it bad 2nite. High tide 5.30, town flooded, nigh on total blackout and fires. Nowt on the news, got this from the locals on a fishing forum I m on.
I've seen a photo on FB where the sea is up to the beach shelters. It'll clean the donkey carp if nothing else!,
Worried what tomorrow will bring, the road which I drove on today on my way home a couple of hours ago is now shin deep in water and it seems is only going to get worse overnight, which also means tomorrow morning a lot of our customers will be ringing for us to come and sort out their flooded brake testers and lifts along with electrical problems and actually getting to the sites does not make for an easy Friday! but..... when you watch the news we are the lucky ones!
Seen the pics from Boston. Doesnt look good. Thoughts go out to those on the coast but as a hill dweller by birth ive always wondered why folk would live somewhere thats definately going to flood at some point!
Been out all day. It's carnage here. Just got home for a well earned nap. Lots of unlucky people with trashed homes and businesses. Got on TV a few times though. Sky news included
